Critical Reflection: El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron - RobotGeek

It has become cliché by this point to define our current generation of gaming systems as one preoccupied with hand-holding. Whether it is the migration of tutorials from the physical manual into the early stages of a game, the cinematic gameplay structure based on a “shoot – hide in cover – regenerate health” event sequence, or even Nintendo’s “let me do this for you” segments, there has been a noticeable increase in clear and concise player assistance. (El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, PS3, Xbox 360)
