Assassin's Creed 3, Why is it Set During The American Revolution?
The game's director has explained why the team wanted to place Assassin's Creed 3's story in the American Revolution.
(Assassin's Creed III, PC, PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360)
I personally don't find the idea of it being set in that period too exciting, because those civil war re-enactments, and anything film/TV show that has portrayed the civil war has been incredibly boring in the past. So it will be interesting to see what they can do with it.
What's the Civil War got to do with the American Revolution? And the American Revolution is an extremely exciting storyline: Birth of a new nation; spies; war; etc. You didn't do too well in History class, huh? (And don't try to lie and say you did, because obviously u didn't). Put the game pad down and open a book once in a while.
Personally I find that the setting has made me MORE interested in this game. While it will not be a day 1 (as past titles have been buggy), it will be something I will pickup.
As for Fucadastates...typical. Enjoy your ability to express your distaste for history and the states. Our forefathers fought and died for you to have the freedom of speech.
at nodoze... so freedom of speech is somthing from the states? not somthing startet way before at "tinget", or from greece,or even from france (you now, the war around the same time, where the humen rights where founden.. and later copied in the american declaretion..)
The reason it's set during the american revolution is because the assassins are desmond's ancestors. It just wouldn't make sense if some of them didn't live in america.
I've always wanted an Assassin's Creed game set in India, Japan or Egypt, but so long as the setting is interesting I'm happy. The American Revolution is a great setting, so I'm not disappointed in the slightest.
News for you all. I'm not from the USA. Do you know anything from Basque Country's history? No? Well, I could tell you to read a book once in a while too...
Keep wondering...as you don't know anything from my country.
And the discussion with nodoze comes from him thinking everybody should be experts in american history as if they were the ass of the world. That's pretentious...well, in fact they've always been (calling themselves americans, when USA is only a part of america, as if they were the only ones living there).
While I'll admit the United States has lost part of the greatness it once had, there is still nowhere else I would ever call home. Just curious...but what country would you say is the greatest then?
well i would say the northen europe contries. norway, denmark and sweden. contries where even the weak get free healthcare, money if not in job (from the state, more than minum wage in america even), free (highranking) schoolsystem (thats payed for, by the state - you get money from the school/state/SU, not paying to go to school). the top contries in the yearly "happiest people on earth" studies. no religons politcal controll (like christian undertones in amercia). and so on. its a subject thing of corse. but america, a place most of the world agrees is way of (the way you take care of the weak, the funny laws you make - some are great youtube hits).
a stupid debat. the most important thing - if you are happy living there.. then thats that.
my god there are so many better places/history/storys than anything done in america..

amEriCA fcK YEAH!!
There are lots of references to it, as there were lots of references to the ottoman empire.
I believe they have AC's script already fully written from start to the end.
The civil war and the American Revolution are NOT the same thing. Not by a long shot.
It is apparent that the Rockefeller backed American education system has failed you.
Read a book once in awhile. It is amazing what you can learn.
Hmmm I wonder how many interesting stories could be made from Basque....
Probably..... zero.
