Free Radical execs slam LucasArts

Edge:

Several former executives at Nottingham studio Free Radical have accused LucasArts of using "stalling tactics" to avoid paying the studio for its work on Star Wars: Battlefront 3. (Crytek UK, Free Radical, Industry, LucasArts, PC, PS3, Star Wars: Battlefront III, Steve Ellis, Xbox 360)

Wow, so Lucas Arts had a hand in Free Radical's downfall.

Bad that.

Thats why i like that kickstarter for Starlight inception, at this point i have more faith in ex employees making a good Star wars esk game than lucasarts themselves. If they make another terrible game i give up on them.

For sure, Read the thrawn trilogy which is basically episodes 7,8,9 it's 100 times better then what lucas arts came up with, Lucas Arts is taking the God like Starwars universe and stomping it into the ground you would not believe! the crap that Lucas Arts and George Lucas have been doing to Authors and anyone who has anything to do with starwars in general they actually wanted a Author to stop writing starwars books because they didn't want the Planet MANDO to be this Raw and tough bounty hunter planet anymore they wanted it to be this pieceful planet with people ashamed of their mando past the author basically said yeah right and canceled the book. Lucas arts is screwed up just look at there track record lately crapy movies, crappy games, crapy kids cartoon, crapy CGI movie, Screwing the fanbase is all they do lately they don't care anymore and have lost touch with the fans. We will be lucky to get Starwars battlefront 3 and even luckyer for it to be actually a good game! -rant >:P

kind of sums up entertainment. games, movies to an extent... I adore the Starwars trilogy and to see Lucas butcher it up after so many years being good the way it was... I am inclined to adopt your opinion on everything Lucas.

I bet they did the same with BioWare regarding KOTOR series. It could be the reason why KOTOR III never happened and hence BioWare spawned Mass Effect, which was obviously a spiritual successor to KOTOR. Now, after like a decade, Lucas finally gave them KOTOR licenses back when their strategies failed after many management changes in the company.

I hope LucasArts return to their root and give us back the real star wars gaming experience. No more of these lego games and clone wars shit that no one asked for.

Lucasarts is dead. They have no more spark. Much like Lucas in general. The longer we buy into their sub par offerings, the longer they will languish. I say let them fail. Let them fall flat on their collective faces.

The king is dead, good riddance.
