Adding Politics to Art with the ESRB

FromTheDpad jumps into The Opinion Dominion to ask new contributor Nicholas about the ESRB. Nicholas shares his opinions and experiences with the ESRB system and opens the discussion about how game violence is perceived by mainstream consumers.
"...a game is a game, and reality is forever. No respawn, no auto-save, no overpriced guides that tell you how to do everything..." (Culture)

I personally think the system is a good idea. It never existed when I was a kid though so I played some pretty mature titles.
(i don't think i turned out any the worse for it either)

Ultimately a parent can choose for the child regardless of the rating system so I think it probably does more good than harm.
