Five reasons to buy a PS Vita right now.

Last week we revealed that 70 percent of PlayStation 3 owners are yet to buy a PlayStation Vita. A chunk of those people said that if the price was lower and there were more games available they’d be more likely to purchase one, but we still believe there’s more than enough reason to buy PS Vita right now.

I demand a ModNation Racers Road Trip online multiplayer patch ASAP you hear me SDS? lol

Akuma-2392d ago

Only one reason needed. It's the best handheld in history and its just an amazing gaming system

--Onilink--2392d ago

how can it be the best handheld in history if it hasnt been out for even a year...

games make a console great, not specs, and we cant judge how good will the 3DS or Vita will be until the end of their cycle

Ares84HU2392d ago

I agree with that Akuma-

But the problem is that right now I'm tight on money like many people and can't really fit a PSV into the mix.

Maybe late summer. But I will get one for sure. Amazing system and can't wait to play Uncharted the Golden Abyss.

Lucretia2392d ago

@ Onilink (who is obviously a nintendo fanboy) :D

well, capability wise its the best handheld ever.

now your right, its going to need the games (and has alot of great games already and way more on the way)

but if they dont make games it will suck. But capability wise yes its the best ever.

the 3ds took a year to even get a good game (that wasnt a remake) on it, so again time will tell

"how can it be the best handheld in history if it hasnt been out for even a year..."

Are we going to play semantics or are you going to use your brain to look pass silliness.

Ps vita is the best handheld in history in what it offers hardware-wise. Should we declare the iPhone the best handheld gaming device in history because it has more than 50,000 games? The gaming catalogue of the ps vita is amazing to some and the gaming catalogue of the 3ds is also to others. It's debatable which handheld gaming system has the better catalogue between 3ds and vita but I know the vita will garner more and bigger exclusive and multiplatform games that will eclipse 3ds's. The vita can support a lot of console multiplatform games which means it can support all console games and games before it in the playstation catalogue and others. The 3ds can't do that

Proper games like uncharted, resistance, killzone, cod, gta, assassins creed, lbp, ff x, bioshock, gravity daze, mortal kombat and a lot of others are games that are highly rated and popular with most being impossible to go on 3ds.

The vita can do and support any software the 3ds can do without 3d but the 3ds can't do a lot of games the vita can do.

Nintendo DS is the best handheld of all time in terms of quality, quantity and everything in between.

Don't be a fool.

@Akuma- What an asinine comment, lmao. If it was the best I'd own one, trust me.

I dont have a Vita but I hope for the gamers having one that there will be a lot of great games soon. Because honestly right now there is not that much quality on the Vita system according to games.

Wolfbiker2392d ago (Edited 2392d ago )

The quality is definitely there, however the originality of the titles leaves a lot to be desired....uncharted golden abyss, rayman origins , super star dust, mvc3, mk, mod nation racers, virtual tennis, etc. Etc. Are all there but nothing listed is exclusive and really a requires the vita to enjoy...I do think that will change whitch is why I bought one...starting with gravity daze.

Ju2392d ago (Edited 2392d ago )

I don't really care about the originality. I rather play the Vita than the PS3, tbh. I just don't care sitting on the couch and staring at the screen for hours. The Vita is just pick up and go - even in the house. 10 minutes break here and there, play a level, do something else. Just easier to handle than sitting down, finding disk, and all. I love it. I want more console ports, simply because the games simply can match the console brothers. No doubt about that. They look and play phenomenal. I am quite impressed by the quality of the overall package. I would want to see more simultaneous releases for console and Vita. This is a full console in a mobile form factor.

Magnus2392d ago

Do any Vita owners know if it can play Ps1 and Ps2 games that are bought from the PSN store?

remanutd552392d ago

i dont think you can play ps1/ps2 games at the moment

HarryMasonHerpderp2392d ago (Edited 2392d ago )

No you cant but If rumours are to believe PS1 compatibility is coming very soon....
hope its true.

ForNgoods2392d ago

you should be able to play ps1 games through remote play to my knowledge.

SandwichHammock2392d ago

nope, not yet *shakes a fist towards Sony* I'm boycotting those mofos by not buying anymore games. I had to reset the boycott as of yesterday though because Mortal Kombat came out :p So now I have a nice two weeks...and then 4am comes out. Dammit!

make a deep, original, hardcore rpg that has over 50 hours of gameplay, an awesome and original combat system and excellent graphics and I'll buy one no problem, the price isn't the issue for me

i don't need an inferior uncharted, i have uncharted 1 and 2, (rented 3), i don't need an inferior resistance, i have played everyone and still own the first (my fav)

don't need a crappy killzone (i own 1 and 2 ), or a stupid racing game, certainly don't need any retarded mini games, i have an iphone for that and they are GIVING games away on that.

Make deep, unique games that are EXCLUSIVE franchises to to vita and I'll get one.

SandwichHammock2392d ago

I have to agree on the exclusive GIANT RPG. Something along the lines of, oh I don't know, Chrono Break d('_')o

Wolfbiker2392d ago

Based on Sony's history....I trust they will deliver on that.

I love my Vita and recommend it but I totally get where you're is cool to get into the great PSP backlog of rpg's though...but damn it I want to play crisis core on my vita!

catfrog2392d ago

i want crisis core on vita also, i cant believe SE, such a large publisher, never put it on the store.

Ju2392d ago (Edited 2392d ago )

Why would you want a "50 hours" game on a handheld which is designed for the short gaps in your daily live? Isn't that better played on a console or PC?

Well, some might work quite well with stop and go. Sure, I don't say don't make 'em. Just don't understand why you'd wait for exactly that to buy a mobile gaming platform.

Ascalon942392d ago

yeah but its awesome to just lay in your bed at night and relax as you delve deep into an awesome RPG.

Ascalon942392d ago

so basically you want the vita to have its own Crisis Core? Damn I loved that game.
