DP - Apparently, yes. And it looks like a class action lawsuit waiting to happen.
typical EA. nothing to see here.
... in unrelated news: EA sales continue to drop. EA blames pirates and says they will add even more draconian measures are required to combat people who legally purchased their software ... ummm I mean pirates.
Doh, that should say: EA blames pirates and says they will add even more draconian measures WHICH are required to combat people who legally purchased their software ... ummm I mean pirates.
Pirating is wrong, except when you're pirating from EA.
Really bad move by them, this will cost them badly. Nowadays people will sue their own mother for looking at them the wrong way so I imagine a lot of people will be up for suing EA.
They should atleast get a refund.
hahahahahaha Gimme money so I can purchase a scotch-tape to hold you and rape you.
have people realized by now we don't own the stuff we pay for anymore, but lease?
Yeah people seem to not read the licensing agreement most devs add to their apps. Which states they can remove content, add content, change content, remove app from store, change cost, etc.. I tend to stay away from games that have it
Oh look it here, this abusive industry strikes again! Why am i not surprised? And to think that some of us are called entitled whiners for trying to fight for our rights as consumers, is beyond hilarious! These ip and software laws where we're essentially renting a game instead of owning it need to change or else the industry will keep abusing us. Its ridiculous that we're paying € 70 for something and we cant lend it to someone, take full advantage of it and now it seems that they are able to take it from us. This console generation is by far the worst and honestly i only see next gen being even worse. PC gaming is the way to go.
We technically never really owned software. It just so happen that prior to consoles going online, they (devs, publishers) couldn't control how we used it and did with it. On the pc, it was always clear we didn't technically own our product 100%. All the way back in the 90's, some companies limited the use of their cd keys anywhere from 1-3. if your anti virus cd that you bought expired, they can refuse updates, services and in some cases functionality unless you renew. It has been happening as far back as anyone can remember. Its why I love when people go, "this is why you should pc this and pc that" not knowing this derived from the pc.
another reason not to buy from EA.
I'm not surprised EA is known to treat their customers shady
That sucks. So I can't even play a single player game on my device? That's retarded!
