Why The Witcher 2 For Xbox 360 Is The Assassin Of Kings

David Howard: "Now, you may have scrolled to the bottom of the page to see what score I’ve placed upon this RPG on its second outing but this is not a review, nor should it be perceived as one. See, we already reviewed The Witcher 2, eleven months ago in fact when it was released on PC. Phil stated that the critically acclaimed title was “just what the RPG genre needed, a breath of fresh air to revitalize the genre once more and set the bar for future games in the series.” He wasn’t the only one either, as the game sits on Metacritic with a lofty 88, including no fewer than eight top scores. It was also voted our ‘PC Game of the Year’ by the community last year, so it clearly impressed. That’s part of the reason there is no review for the Xbox 360 version of the game here; whilst it may be an ‘Enhanced Edition’ the core gameplay is essentially the same – not to mention we don’t re-review games." (The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition, Xbox 360)
