GamesTM Interview: Victor Ireland on the Class Of Heroes II Kickstarter and the future of JRPGs

Of all the Kickstarter projects launched in the wake of Double Fine’s phenomonal success, Monkeypaw Games and Gaijinworks‘ Class Of Heroes II pitch is unique for a number of reasons, not least that it’s a Japanese console game, but also because it’s to release a game that’s already been developed. And with only five days to go, the project is only 17% funded, a long way off from its target of $500,000. Now games™ speaks to project co-ordinator, and Working Designs legend, Victor Ireland to discuss why gamers should care. (Culture, Victor Ireland)

Quite a good read! I really hope this one gets funded.

"This is not explicitly about a cool Class of Heroes II Deluxe Pack, but a referendum on a direct-to-fan relationship that can bypass a lot of the roadblocks that keep cool games fans want from happening. So, even if one of your readers is an RPG fan but not really into Anime-style Wizardry riffs in their game, it’s still important to support this if they can because it can and will lead to bigger and better projects"

you can't expect fans to pay for a game they don't want just for the chance they may get something they do want, that ludicrous.

pleas try again with something like FF13T-0, Valkuria Chronicles, Sukoden PSP and Frontier Gate
