is it just me or do those look like screen shots from silent hill? Very foggy, is the draw distance and fog that close in the pc version?

---I believe the fog is just related to the atmosphere of that area, and not graphical restrictions, i dont see any fog in any locations i remember from my playthrough on PC. And the Draw distance wasnt terribly good on PC, but it was right around the range where you wont notice pop ins most of the time.
---In Comparison, no one who played this game on PC, even at medium would regret getting it on PC instead of Xbox from a graphics standpoint.

I preordered this for 360, and after about 5 hours of playing it all I can say is,

Go play Dragon Age 2 then. That might fancy your casual play style.

Also, these images are shit quality. Don't give "proof" then provide low res screens. I do agree it's one of the best looking games though.

I agree the witchEr 2 did look amazing though. I never picked up Dragon age, I had the 1st 2 mass effects but fell out with the 2nd one. I've played the hell out of the Elder Scrolls series, still looking for a game that plays like those. I should have investigated Witcher2 before buying it as I assumed it would more open work than it was.

The Pc version of Witcher 2 IS the best looking game this entire generation (consoles included). The 360 version looks great but not quite on par with the PC version but can still hold its own against Gears 3.

Oh, and the game is fu*king awesome too!

Video would have been more convincing. For some reason, these screens just look.. meh. Not that they don't at least look rather detailed, but I don't get the impression of "one of the best" while looking at them.

Oh, and mr_badhand, that would only work if they'd said "THE best looking game on consoles," which it does not appear to be.

Enhanced edition on PC doesnt change graphics much, optimizes it a fair bit, but you wont notice anything without a roll over comparison.

You often read how the xbox is supposedly vastly inferior when it comes to it's visuals in comparison to ps3 but stuff like here shows how this console manages just fine it seems with amazing visuals

One thing to realise is that many key PS3 devs have been on a mission to prove and therefore push that hardware like no other. Xbox on the other hand hasn't had the weight of such a thing until now when it we're seeing the hardware pushed like it's not been before. Both machines can handle amazing visuals

I have this game on the 360 & run it at 1080p but can confirm that for some reason the author has applied some sort of washed out post blurring filter over these images I assume to cover up the jaggies (or maybe he's just running it at SD resolution)& to be perfectly honest I think what he has done is make it look worse & as said above, very washed out & bland. It is a great looking game but it's not the best. Strange journalism viewpoint from the website though. Awesome game though & would recommend it.

I love both Witchers. Haven't played the XBOX version, but it is really foggy judging from those screenshots. I don't remember any for on the PC version at all unless you were looking far into the distance.
