Reaction Time - Tribes Ascend Review

Coming in hot at around 300 kilometres an hour, you see the enemy team’s flag thrashing in the wind upon its pedestal. There stands a heavily armoured brute of a man, his eyes severely focused on the horizon while a comparatively stick-thin soldier armed with a sniper rifle spots you from afar. It isn’t long before you close the distance and get within range of your objective. Thinking fast, you toss a grenade to knock the sharpshooter from his perch and similarly attempt to uproot the gargantuan guardian of the flag with a whirring disc from your Spinfusor. But it isn’t enough – the force from the explosion isn’t enough to knock him, and focuses his aim toward at you, and at this point, you’re a mere two seconds from ramming into him. Fortunately for you, a friendly face appears from behind the flag pedestal breaking his invisibility, only to throw a sticky grenade onto the walking mass. Timely as ever, the grenade explodes, taking his life and giving you the freedom you so desperately needed to clutch the flag and soar to victory. 9/10
