Four Games That Changed The World

Leviathyn.com's Dean Martin names the most influential and culture defining video games in history. These have either broke the market open, defined platforms, or broken so many records in media it is insane. These four are the most important games ever. (Call of Duty, PC, PS3, Retro, Super Mario Bros., Tetris, Wii, Xbox 360)

This list is deeply, deeply missing Doom and Mortal Kombat.

1. Doom practically created the idea of death match within multiplayer and also encouraged people to make their own content with level editors, leading to full published expansion packs and some people at Id now, even came from the map making community.

2. Both Doom and Mortal Kombat are both games which lead to games being given age ratings and concerns about content.

As much as I hate how the COD series has be become, it's dead on. COD has become the iPhone per se. Ubiquitous...yes, but not the best out there now.

FF7 made a pretty huge impact.
