I recently decided to go back and play Battlefield: Bad Company on my Playstation 3. Bad Company was my first introduction to the Battlefield series back in 2009. Find out if this game still holds up today compared to the current crowded shooter genre.

Please subscribe to the blog. In a month or two I'll be launching my own gaming/Tv/film website and I appreciate any feedback and help. You'll be doing a huge favor to a broke college student.

Subbed :) and i agree that "Bad Company’s strengths have been lost in its Battlefield successors". BF3 doesn't seem as fun, engaging or as battlefieldy as i remember BC1 and 2 to be.

Really appreciate it. I also have youtube if you're interested. It's on the side of the blog.

"battlefieldy"? If anything bfbc was the least like battlefield if you asked veteran battlefield fans. It is a fun game but the maps werent huge, and it didnt have jets or boats. It was made for consoles in mind so to PC players a lot of them stuck with BF2.

@Hufandpuf

Many console only gamers first BF experience was with BFBC. Back then it was disregarded as an attempt to knock COD4 of its throne although many bought it (including myself) and had lots of fun.

They past Bad Company games were a lot better. I play BFBC2 more than i play BF3.

I bought the first Bad Company on release day and its SP is still miles ahead, both in terms of map scale and overall epicness, compared to the later SP in BFBC2 and BF3.After months of lag issues troubling the PS3 MP the BFBC became a solid MP experience. The first BFBC MP DID in fact have boats and also helicopters,sadly jets were not implement.The SP HAD numerous vehicles to use in the huge levels, while the SP campaigns in BFBC2 and BF3 had barely anything no show for as being a part of the Battlefield franchise.Hardly any vehicles, small levels with badly hidden invisible level design borders. I felt like a rat in a mace playing SP in BFBC2, utter crap. The SP in BF3 was just like playing another CoD game, but this time it wasn't half as fun and didn't have a good story either.
