Hulk Ultimate Destruction and Prototype 2 Comparison
IGN.com: We compare Radical Entertainment's Prototype 2 to their 2005 release The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and discover a few similarities.
(PC, Prototype 2, PS3, Xbox 360)
Whoa, I never played this Hulk game, only heard murmurs about it when people were talking about Prototype 1. As I thought that Prototype was more like Crackdown. Maybe Crackdown is actually more like Hulk UD..
But I did hear that Prototype's direction was to generally create an original IP of the same theme but without any licensing issues, no real restriction on abilities and Radical did exactly that. Bravo.
You should def check out the Hulk game. IMO, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction is a better overall game than Prototype 1. In Ultimate Destruction, Hulk's powers had more meaning than Alex Mercer's. With Mercer, you have all these crazy powers, but to me their kind of forced into the world..sort of like pieces that don't fit into a puzzle.
Agreed...... hulk ultimate destruction is a classic and an example of how to make a game with a god like character feel relevant and fun... prototype 1 and 2 are good game, liking 2 better than 1 right now, but i felt that same way about mercer after playing the first
