Torchlight 2 Being Ported to Mac, No Console Version Planned

With the launch of Torchlight 2, this is a quick look at how the PC hack-and-slash RPG will be ported to different platforms and some speculation as to why the game may not be available to as many platforms as the original.

Oh that's great info. I wonder if they would put it on disc at like 20 or 30 bucks like Plants versus Zombies and Bejeweled have done.

They just update the limit for XBLA games size. The game should fit. If not they could go to the Games-on-Demand section for the right price.

I love the fact that you can buy 4 copies of this game for the same price as D3 AND you get mod support. I just wonder how similar the game's structure is compared to the first, i.e. floors or more of an adventure in different areas...

agreed, I don't see how anyone could say that D3 will be 3 times better than torchlight....but I am super interested to see how the real money auction house works

D3 will be the mother load of PC games for my foreseeable future. Torchlight isn't even on my radar since D3 is in a couple weeks.

Idk, man...I've been in the beta since last year and while it's a good game you can tell that it's been, arguably, over-simplified. I found it interesting also that most, I believe, of the team that made D1/D2/LOD were the same people who were fired from Blizzavision who citedD3 wasn't looking how the company had wanted it to. From what I've learned and experienced so far, it seems as if Torchlight 2 is what Diablo 3 was supposed to be except 20 dollars.

I bought T2 and got T1 for free. Never played it before, but it's an awesome Diablo type game. T2 should will be awesome in the summer when I'm bored of Diablo 3.

What the hell is the author talking about when he says "maybe it didn't sale well on other platforms"?

Torchlight holds the record for the biggest sale day ever on XBLA even though it was already available for Mac/...an xbl version is almost a certainty.
