wait I'm sorry, E3 2011? which game was running real time and being streamed to the tablet? that Zelda game where all you could do was change from day to night?
I don't know if this is true or not but saying "of course" is very premature because we haven't seen anything substantial running real time and being streamed to the tablet wirelessly. there's nothing that disproves these rumors, but the again they are just rumors.
I just want to add that it seems that most people are just reacting from the title. if you actually read the article you realize that this just might be true. maybe for some games, maybe for all.
We've seen plenty of videos with the controller not attached to the system.
This isn't even rumor, this is stupidity. It's wired because it's a DEV KIT man. I can't believe I have to explain this, it's really is basic logic and common sense.
Nintendo already promoted the controller as a wireless one. The only cables we've seen are the security cables and this new one which looks clearly detachable.
Also this is based on speculation of a game video from a publisher that isn't Nintendo. The article even says that Ubisoft was using wired dev kits. I say wait until E3.
No if you listen to Nintendo and multiple developers then you know that this absolutely not true...if you think it is then you obviously have not been paying attention-apparently this one little pic of a charging cable(or dev kit cable)has convinced you otherwise..which makes you ummm-not very intelligent.
insult my intelligence all you want, go ahead. but I clearly said that I am neither convinced that this is true nor that this is false. so you best check yourself before throwing harsh, yet ironic things around :)
it's fine to listen to developers, but my point is have you actually seen anything "substantial" i.e. AAA title running on a tv and the tablet? @Shok says "we've seen many videos" yea sure that promotional footage released by Nintendo at E3? the same way that Microsoft released that demo footage of "Mylo"? yeah sure.
like @PopRocks said, I'll wait til E3. wired or not I'll still buy one.
It sends the frame buffer to the controller. I don't see how an AAA-game will affect that... The only thing that will falter is the framerate if the game just isn't optimized to begin with.
" yea sure that promotional footage released by Nintendo at E3"
A bit of research really helps. There are enough videos out there.
Holy Shit these guys are stupid. IT'S A DEV KIT This is what ubisoft said "Rayman Origins' sequel." The video was meant for "internal production teams who often create game prototypes with work in progress development kits" IT IS A DEV KIT.
It seems the closer to the e3 reveal the more doomed reports come out. We have only seen 2 game play videos for wii u (not counting the e3 2011 video) aliens colonial marines and now rayman. So give it a chance to be properly revealed before you pile on it.
Nintendo main sale pitch at last year E3 was about the controller. So I don't think Nintendo is crazy enough to say their new controller doesn't do what Nintendo says it was suppose to do.
where is the real Akima- and what have you done to him?
No I am just kidding, he actually said something nice about the 3DS a few days back. I guess people can change.
@Akuma
Either way, Bubble Up+ for second comment
so of course its going to have a charger i thought we knew this already?
Of course the uPad is going to be wireless, did you not watch the E3 2011? I can't believe someone would actually question this lol.

which would be damn cool, i cant even imagine the battery life on that wiiu pad...does it even use batteries?
BY the way I was suggesting is it replaceable batteries like 360 or internal like the ps3 controller?
This is what ubisoft said
"Rayman Origins' sequel." The video was meant for "internal production teams who often create game prototypes with work in progress development kits"
IT IS A DEV KIT.
dev kit....dev kit....the console is not out! the things that go over peoples heads
Nobody wants to put on a demonstration and have to worry whether the Upad will be low on battery or not.
It's possible that the Upad has been tested out my numerous people all day and finally needed a charge before the picture was taken.

It would be hilarious if tablet turned to be wired, though.
