PikiGeek's Tribes: Ascend Review – Ascending to the Top of the F2P Pack

Tribes: Ascend bills itself as the “World’s Fastest Shooter,” and it’s a claim that’s hard to repudiate. Using a technique known as “skiing,” holding the space bar turns your character frictionless, allowing you to gain speed traveling down hills and maintain it along flat surfaces. By strategically using your jetpack and skiing in tandem, you can find yourself building up an absolutely absurd level of speed, especially useful in flag running or zipping past enemy defenses. (PC, Tribes Ascend) 5/5
