Are Black Friday HD DVD Adopters Returning Players? [Updated: Toshiba Responds]

Via Gizmodo:

Update: We've got a response back from Jodi Sally, Toshiba's VP of Digital A/V Marketing regarding the rumors.

"I have not heard of one single report from any of [Toshiba's retailers] indicating returns, in fact our meetings went well and retailers will continue to offer our HD DVD players as a choice for high definition."

They STILL think HD DVD can make a comeback even though 80%+ of HOLLYWOOD has EXCLUSIVELY chosen to back the SUPERIOR format that is Blu Ray.

I'm not surprised at their denial though, the MAJORITY of Xbots haven't had a HIGHER LEVEL education thus they don't know what 80% of Hollywood technically means,i've attached a pic to help the Xbots out.

of course they are going to deny it, why dont they talk to retailers?

i dnt think there will be that many returns. most ppl that bought it knew the risks when they did and they went ahead with the purchase cus it was 99 dollars. If you paid 150 upwards for it incentive to return will greatly be increased

"HD-DVD is the best choice for consumers..."

edit/ who would disagree? ""Microsoft said it has no plans to do any such thing, and that it believes HD DVD to be the best format for us consumers..."

It really is BS what Toshiba are saying lately.
