PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and James Bond

One of the first rumored characters for PlayStation All-Star Battle Royale was secret agent, James Bond. But some fans feel like his inclusion may come at the cost of more experienced franchise. NoTR examines why including Bond in the game may be a smart move for Sony. (PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, PS3)

"The next James Bond film, Skyfall, will be distributed by Columbia Pictures, a subsidiary of Sony Pictures. This allows Sony to use PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale to advertise Skyfall and use Skyfall (most likely the Bond character) to advertise PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale."

Pointless. They're probably already going to do that with 007 Legends.

Well they are doing 007 Legends.. but what does that have to do with this?

I mean this allows Sony to market their products in either direction, if they choose.

Doesn't make any sense because it won't translate into sales. If your a James Bond fan who isn't a Sony gamer, your not going to buy PS All Stars knowing that 95% of the characters in the game are ones that you've never heard of and don't care about. Sony should market James Bond games to James Bond fans...period.

I truly dont see how characters that are normal would stand a chance against kratos, cole, niruku etc. O.o

Logic doesn't need to play a role in these games.

On paper Samus should kick Mario's ass with little or no effort, but no one ever really questions it.

Calling it Playstation All Stars and having a character that has been on different platforms is silly.
mttrackmaster38  +   418d ago
That's why they really need to change the name. Nintendo was smart not to call their game "Nintendo Smash Bros".
n4gisatroll  +   418d ago
Well...technically if its been on the playstation I can see it still working. Look at ssbb, it had snake.

Just because a character has been on a different platform doesn't stop him, her, or it from being an All Star on the Playstation. Would Spyro not count simply because some of his games have been on other systems? Or Crash Bandicoot?

If Mario found his way onto the 360, would he suddenly no longer be a Nintendo star?

It's not called "Playstation Exclusive All Stars".....
There will be popular characters from many 3rd parties...

Can we have a real Bond like Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan....Daniel Craig Bond films play more like an older Jason Bourne

In the case of a first iteration of a Playstation branded brawler. The more, the better.

I honestly hope, somehow this is the game being revealed on GT. But I doubt it since they aren't in England. I just need to know who's in this, if its real of course lol
