Today it's mostly regarded as "backyard project" as the desing offers little to no advantages over common helicopters or tiltrotor designs and it's costs a lot more to build and maintain, hence the low popularity between the major aircraft builders and why we don't see the big military designed quad choppers around beyond science fiction.
It looks cool none the less, but I'm not sure if the one in the screenshot is meant to be a full sized transport quadrotor or some kind of UAV (aeromodel).
So think about this size.
Not sure why the first thing that came to mind is a full sized aircraft when everything in the screens and mock ups show it the actual uav size. The picture linked to the n4g article probably shows it the best, with the guy in the background holding a r/c.
As for the game, it can burn in hell for eternity for all I care.
Just a quadrotor helicopter.

Edit: oh. Matty beat me to it. Ya, I hope Im wrong too. I hope those other models in there are just placeholders or something.
EDIT: I just re-read the article, and I think those are placeholder assets. It says they had to render it in the MW engine so that the special effects firm doing FPS Russias video had something to go off of. I have a feeling the choppers and stuff were just there, and not part of BO2

It's not a MW game. It's Black Ops 2. It can be set in a Modern or near-future setting without being "Modern Warfare"
You can go look me up on Black Ops, it will tell you my latest time logged in was today.
Ill wait for may 1st, but I really hope its not a modern(ish) setting...

On topic: I'm curious as to whether this single implementation will be the only additions implemented into the game. Hopefully reviewers will finally decide to criticise the franchise for it's lack of innovation. Him Sterling scored Mario Kart 4 a terrible 5/10 simply for it being nothing new for the franchise and yet he scored Modern Warfare 3 an undeserving 9.5/10. So many developers work their ass' off for a number of years in order to deliver a true sequel rather than something little more than an expansion of a 5 year old game... I wonder if Treyarch will copy and paste buildings from Call of Duty 4 as Infinity Ward did with Modern Warfare 3...
Also, I wonder if they'll be this lazy with their Next Generation installments.

The difference when you say could we make a game, is that they are the ones whose have a job in making it. I bet the developers at Treyarch or Infinity Ward couldn't do the jobs of many structural engineers - so are you saying you want them to design your bridges?
And EA/Acti are competitors.
