'Call of Duty Elite still has to prove itself'

Call of Duty Elite still needs to win over the customers it ‘pissed off’ last November, Activision says.

The online service for the hit FPS IP was bombarded with traffic when it went live alongside Modern Warfare 3 last year, and subsequently failed to work. (Activision, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, PC, PS3, Tag Invalid, Xbox 360)

I hope it crashes along with the series. I'm so sick of COD, and not even sick of what it used to be. I'm just disgusted on how it turned out. COD4 is still the best in the series.

elite was definitely a waste of money for me as well as mw3
to each its own cause my favorite is mw2

Whoever bought into the elite bs deserved to get their money taken. And yet and still their are ppl out there that will jump at the next itinerary of the elite service and the next COD game as if their getting some ultra cool service and game lol Keep giving your money away for mediocrity and services that should be rendered upon purchase of the game and are given free by other companies.

Typical , the the disagree or future disagree got no argument usually .

Elite propose nothing that couldnt be free and wasnt in a few other games when it comes to stats data

I have to disagree. While I don't like COD or Elite, it's essentially a DLC pass like Uncharted or Gears of War has done, except the stats, clans and other things are extra compared to those 2. While it may appear as a rip-off, really it's giving you a discount if you are planning on buying all the DLC anyway.

Not to mention the choice to enter daily competitions for solo and clans that give awards and prizes along with fun picture and video contests that also have awards and prizes.

The indepth map and gun analysis/strategy videos are nice also for anyone looking to reasure themselves that they have their load outs right for the situation or those newer to the game or having trouble getting owned.

Oh and Elite TV is a fun plus, with multiple shows and episodes comming out fairly often there is always something to watch.

Groups are nice also, a way to connect with others through similar interest, always cool to join a lobby and see others with the same fav sports teams or local to my area through an icon next to their name. A good starting point to finding friends to play with online.

Best part is, as you said, the Big plus of saving a few bucks on the DLC and getting the DLC a bit earlier then others on your console of choice. But also getting all that extra stuff running straight from your console with no computer needed along with the FREE stat tracking and mobile app make it more then any other game offers overall and better then 99% of what other games offer.
