Kotaku - What is it about folks that call for the death of franchises they dislike rather than simply ignoring them?
GameTrailers did a video of the top ten franchises that need to die and all the usual suspects made the list (Call of Duty, Madden, Halo, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, etc.) and it just boggles my mind.
From my perspective annual releases stress the industry. It's a short term business model, in the long run it'll like cause some issues. Whether that's a full on game industry collapse, or just a couple large companies taking a big dip in sales.
Do you think otherwise? Aside from blizzards contribution call of duty makes up nearly all of activisions revenue. All thats left after that are some licensed games and a few under performing old ip. If cod took a sales dip of any amount at all really people would start selling activision stock in droves. Which would cripple the massive company almost instantly.
say you are sorry to him
I just think it needs to change massively before it gets any more hate.
Activision can save the franchise and actually make it something good if they just listen to us.
Ive got Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Guild Wars 2, Hawken, Prey 2 and Aliens colonial marines to look forward to.
People who hate on it are probably the same sad kunts who comment on youtube videos of metal songs saying crap like all the dislikes are justin beiber fans.
Its the consumers choice, the game industries just provides us with choices.
than why it should die ???
side note : COD are not good and need to die
lol at my double standards
And guess what is the first drop of venom that drips from the snake's mouth when the inevitable outrage follows because of their changes, "We are trying to reach the Call Of Duty players....."
