Gematsu: "Saint Seiya: Sanctuary Battle may be coming to North America, if the ESRB are anything to go by. The organization recently assigned a “Teen” rating to the game."
well, if that's true, then this is going to be the first Saint Seiya game to be released in America.
A shame since it's a truly awful game . But then again there has never been a good saint seiya game yet unfortunately
I didnt know it was that bad. I thought it played like DWs.
It does play like Dw , but there are various degrees of quality within such series . This one is the lowest of the lowest . And usually at worst anim based Dynasty game are quite decent graphically , so you could usually count on that fanservice aspect . This time no , we got truly badly modelised characters (early ps2 level , only hd) , even within the cutscenes , and inconsistant framerates
it may be the worse anime game of the year so far but isnt necessarily a bad one either its fun to play and it as enough fan service for you there. wait for decent a price drop.
I'm surprised. IMO, two of the best anime game to me are Fist of the North Star and the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games. I know some people hate FOTNS, but I think they think an "ok" job.
True but at the risk of sounded obsessed , FOTNS wasnt as badly done , and the concept of the game kinda fit the manga and anime's vibe .
I like the Dynasty Warriors: Gundam games. Edit: But then again they're the only Dynasty Warriors games I've played this gen.
Meh i think it's that bad . it's a dissservice to the anime with it's horrible realisation and boring gameplay (and that's coming from a one piece musou , warrior orochi and general musou fan) . It only covering the first big arc is only adding salt to the injuries . Immersion is close to nil , as the dynasty warrior setting doesnt suit saint seiya at all . Most fights are a 1v1 affair and not about the heroes crushing down waves of anonymous foes "X" . Your characters are even surprinsingly weak , wasting lots of time on plain grunts , wich is not a good immersion factor . Graphics are awful with plastic looking characters , framerate isnt even consistent , there is no nline , coop is very limited . If you love Saint Seiya manga series or animes , dont do the franchise a disservice by sending a message that it's ok for them to produce such crap , and for you to buy it . Fist of the north star/Hokuto no Ken , wasnt great , but at least it was a total package of fanservice , suited the franchise , and was done a whole lot better than that game
Like i said, a decent price drop is enough and it really doesnt matter if it feels like a badly made PS2 game in HD because fans want it anyways. Also, fun is the only factor that counts in this game even if it doesnt feel like its supposed to in fan service terms it still presists being fun if you enjoy the series. Im a fan and ill get it for the right price 15 bucks tops. You may consider this game a disservice but i think otherwise because having this simple minded game is better than having no game at all. Hopefully a sequell will show up and fixes the main issues that reside in this game.
Obviously i just dont find the game fun , on top of it being badly done . And i still think no game is better than a bad one . There have been 3 crappy games already for the franchise from bandai , it's time it got the proper care and respect other franchises had . If you didnt notice , i'm also a huge Saint Seiya fan . I dont believe for a sec a sequel will fix anything there . The sequel to the ps2 fighting game didnt fix squat . They didnt care about doing a good game to begin with and the same team , Dimps still doesnt care about the franchise , after 3 games .
It should include all the content...
