PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royal roster - Who we want to see in Sony's Smash Bros. game

Rumors are "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royal" is the name being given to the supposed Super Smash Bros-style game Sony has in the works.
Yeah, we know what you're thinking: "Does Sony have enough characters to fill up the roster?" After putting our collective heads together we've come up with a fairly robust list to start off...

Mostly good..
I think just #s 17-20 are kinda lame IMO and don't really scream PlayStation to me.

Abe is one of the most famous characters from PS1. Fart, burp, throw rocks, mind control.
Ellen and Keats fit perfectly in the way they already fight in Folklore. I think that would be among the biggest disappointments if they weren't in. They have too much potential.

ATLAS and P-body from Portal 2. Not likely, but throwing that one out there if the relationship with Valve is still rosey.. or GLADOS as some sort of boss.

Also agree with the main 3D Dot Game Hero.

The Medieval guy and Spyro I think are known enough as PS characters and have uniqueness.

Patapons and Loroco Rocos or whatever their called would be a good addition for kids.

I think a lot of the others mentioned are too generic or unknown.

It's funny how people doubt Sony's line up. It is so incredibly robust! Think of all the heroes you can, and then imagine their villains! For every hero, there are plenty of villains. Look at Kratos, he has all the friggin God's of Olympus, each of which would be an awesome character!

I almost forgot that sony can also pull characters from demons souls no characters from the game named in any of the rosters also why no love for Patapon's and Locoroco's? With all the characters sony has i hope we see a big roster.

I'd rather see a mix of popular current characters and the really popular older ones than a roster full of oddball PS-exclusive characters. For example, I'd take Ezio over the MediEvil guy.

Snake, Commander Shepard, Sonic, Isaac Clarke, a Big Daddy, Gordon Freeman, Scorpion, and Crash, alongside Drake, Cole, Sev, a Helghast, Sweet Tooth, Ratchet, and Sackboy is the kind of roster I'm looking for.

I'll pass on the guy from Buzz.

Oh come on, really? You would take boring Ezio over quirky Dan. Sir Dan has more personality in his bony body then Ezio has in his little finger. Why can't we just have balance between the quirky odd balls and the serious characters. Why leave out Dan at all?

I wouldn't mind Dan at all. I'm just saying, if I had to choose, I'd prefer a roster of more popular recent characters. The oddball characters from PS's past would be fine, but I'd rather not see a large chunk of the roster devoted to them over more popular modern characters.

It's not a bad list...
but by the end it felt like they were straining to come up with worthwhile first party contenders that could appear in the game. I mean I love Journey, but Robed Figure?! Ermm no, how about replacing him/her/it(?) with Sir Daniel Fortesque. Robbit from Jumping Flash! would be a perfect character, if a little obscure. Kat from Gravity Daze is a glaring omission; just because her game isn't out here yet doesn't mean she's not eligible for the roster. Third party, but no mention of Kazuma Kiryu is borderline blasphemy.

At least they had the good grace to include Klonoa - he needs to be in the game!

I do wonder what the game will look like. Will it be 2D like Marvel vs. Capcom 2, semi 3D like in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 or will it be in 3d entirely?

I think the presentation of the game will determine what character will make it into the roster & exactly how many will it have.

Of course people will rage if there is DLC characters added cause that seems popular right now.
