First 30 Minutes of Prototype 2

Here is the first 30 minutes of Prototype 2. You get to see the back story of the main character and what role Mercer plays in this game.
Prototype 2 launches Tuesday April 24, 2012 on PS3 and XBOX 360. The PC version of the game will be releasing this Summer.

The first Prototype is honestly one of the worst games I've ever played. Prototype 2 doesn't look much better.

Protoype one was pretty fun, definatly worth a shot especially since its cheap now. This looks more polished which is good, but I think ill wait till its down to 50$ over here like I did with the first one

The start of the game looks great graphically then it was just as I thought the threw up what the last game looked like.What a shame.I hated the first one and this one looks just as bad if not worst since they had all this time to make improvements.Silly bastards.

Other than the first 20 min and the final boss fight I loved the first game. Of course I didnt feel the need to do all the races so I guess that could be frustrating for people that did. I had played this game right after playing Dark Sector and thought this is what dark sector should have been. I also played it around the time I played the first batman. And although batman was technically superior (graphics, sound, Va, setting, story) I thought prototype was more pure fun (being a superpowered being in an open world....and normally I hate zombie games).

And even though I was not a big fan of the final boss fight, it did prove to be the only game that mimic'd the movies "hereo stops the clock with 1 sec to go". As I was desperately beating the bad guy down trying to beat the clock and when it expired I thought I lost AGAIN and then all of the sudden the winning cutscene run. So I did get quite a rush from it.

So I am looking forward to this one and if all they do is polish it up and make the plot more straightforward, I am perfectly fine with it.

I found the last boss fight to be a ridiculous pain.. Mostly because the combat in the original was shallow and crappy as hell, looks like they have improved the combat this time, but I'll still think long and hard before I even think about buying this.

The original is the my biggest regret out of all the games I've bought this gen. I do like the creepy vibe you get the cutscenes play, looks good, but the story line in the other one was piss poor along with the fighting. I'll wait till this is in the garbage bin before i pick it up.

Last boss was for some reason hard even on Normal mode but he is the last boss after all, I wouldn't wanna imagine having to face him on hard mode.

The temptation is so strong, but I can't bring myself to watch this for sake of ruining the game.

looks like its everything I hate about "blockbuster" games. Dumb story shoved down your throat, cutscenes every 5 seconds, etc... Although there is some interesting gameplay in there somewhere, it gets ruined by being flash over substance. The open world hurts the game more than it helps, theres not really much going on outside the linear missions.. being open world just forces you to run through the empty city for hours.
I expect the dev team to be disbanded in a few months.

It looks great, but not excellent. Obviously there is room for a lot of polish. But hey, they're not SuckerPunch or Rockstar.

I'd say its definetly worth a pick up once its in the bargain at 30 bucks.

they need to make it less "cinematic", that only works if you have a huge budget and an actual decent story to tell.

I agree. Plus, the cutscenes bother me, I don't like the grey and smudgy artstyle to it.

I don't get why all of you are bashing this game and saying you'll pick it up in the bargain bin... I know you have your own opinions and you can spend your money on what you want but still I think this game looks amazing and is going to be fun as hell.
