I Am Alive Review | Geared for Gamers

A post apocalyptic future is definitely not an uncommon setting for video games these days, but one thing that has been missing is the idea of survival. Gamers no longer have a huge plethora of survival horror games to keep them on edge and fighting their inner selves when tasked with decisions to conserve or let loose. I Am Alive is a title that has had its ups and downs throughout development first at Darkworks and then picked up by Ubisoft Shanghai and luckily it has finally seen the light of day. It may not be the game that was originally showed off but if gamers put those expectations to the side, does this game still live up to the claims of despair and survival during humanity’s bleakest moments? (I Am Alive, PS3, Xbox 360) 8/10
