Judging from all the likes that the Youtube videos of the soundtracks Kotaku posted have, it would seem they [Kotaku] are a minority. The soundtracks are fine.
It's all mega corny, but it's also fitting for this type of game. Probably could have done a little better considering how good the game is, but it doesn't impact on the experience at all.
