Today is 4/20, which has become synonymous with getting high as a kite and because of that fact I wanted to run down the top 10 video games to play when you are high as a kite. If you’re reading this right now, chances are you’re pretty high and are having difficulty getting through this first sentence. That’s okay, do your thing, forget about those taxes you still haven’t filed, and play one of the videogames listed below. Also, don’t let the backwards-counting of this list take you for a mentally unstable ride. You’re going to be okay. I’ll finish this introductory paragraph later. I’m going to smoke a bowl first (because I live in Amsterdam and have the legal right to do so).
The Dave Chappelle clip at the bottom is funny.
But I don't 420.... I 419. So all you lames can go somewhere cause I just got high a minute before you.

lulz. I first got baked before you were born. Second, with a name that has anything to do with marijuana chances are you haven't even seen it let alone smoked it.
1. Madden Football/Tecmo Bowl
2. Tony Hawk Pro Skater
3. GTA (doesn't matter which one)
4. SSX (the adrenalin rush you get from this game while high is awesome)
5. Street Fighter 2 Super Duper I'm so High Edition
6. NBA2k
7. Max Payne (the bullet time seems to last an eternity)
8. Battlefield 3 (for about 15 minutes before it completely sobers you up)
9. APB Reloaded (the ONLY way to play it is high)
10. Need For Speed / Gran Turismo
I've probably smoked a Rain Forrest while playing Madden and Tecmo Bowl through the years.
BF3 is like SO REAL while inebriated but the game quickly sobers you up! Why I don't know!
P.S. getting High is bad for your brain and it makes you lazy. Just Say No!

Too... much... fun...
this would be amazing while tripping on a XTC/acid mix. lol
Everybody should smoke pot or atleast try it once in there lives, youll be surprised in how much it can expand your imagination
JUST SAY NO!
Go bungee jump, ride a roller coaster, or sky dive cause nothing is better than an adrenaline rush!
i find bragging about smoking weed to be very childish and think how much of a tosser i was doing it.
i will admit one thing though...i dont enjoy my music as much as used to. i used to listen to bone thugs all day long. now i listen to otis reading and zapp and rogers and i im only 26 lol.
I completely agree with what you say. I smoke occasionally, I never buy just if one of my stoner friends offer it. I rather smoke than take in something that will damage my liver. This will be the last year I smoke as I make my way into med school. Can't have that shit in your system when in the medical field. Its fun to enjoy, I do not regret it has I have had some fun times but after mostly this summer I won't look back.
As long as people can be responsible with it just like drinking. I do not see a big deal as a lot of people make it up to be. Everyone just needs to know when its time to quit and really grow up.
That every day burn is never good.
i just added up 10 X 365 day = 3650 x £20 a day habbit = £73,000 lol.
i got money, i got my kids, i got a nice house and a sweet 3D gaming rig set-up. weed aint got nothing on the good life.
Do us a favor and Google "health effects of weed" and educate yourself. Just like drinking or using any other drug, it's utterly pointless and detrimental to pretty much everything and everyone except the company or person selling it.
FOR A GUY WHO'S NAME IS Evil, you sure are a goody too shoes. lmao!
Relax evil wanna be guy, people who smoke weed ain't all bad people ya know..
Drinking is much worse. You may feel it's detrimental, but why do anything then? You sound like you need to get a little high, actually.
Not getting drunk and do stupid and funny things.
Not trying out different sexual positions that might bring more pleasure to both.
Not playing casual games being hardcore gamer.
Not drinking coffee in the morning to have strength through the day.
Not eating that highly calloric dish that's so incredibly tasty.
I could even drag it under: not even be alive or sane. Because how we perceive world is strongly influenced by chemicals and enzymes our body produce and use. Even DMT which is classified as highly dangerous drug naturally occurs in our organisms and is getting us high little by little as we grew older.
Don't be stupid Hollywood evil. Evil needs educated and intelligent agents.
and who are you to tell anyone else what they should and shouldn't do. people like you are the types of people who stand on the corner with signs trying to spread your closed mindedness, then you go home to stick your thumb up your dogs bum.
btw, "Ikaruga: This game is incredibly difficult (Ninja Gaiden 3 is another choice if you can't find ikrauga) when you’re sober, so there is no way you’re going to be able to do it while under the influence of marijuana."
spoken like a person that doesn't actually smoke. so explain those of us who seem to perform slightly better while baked...i do agree though, it's a good stoner game.
so many games that are super obvious and aren't actually very good stoner games on this list though. i would replace most of the list with Resident Evil, Amnesia, Alan Wake, Portal 2 Co-Op with a stoned friend, World of Warcraft, Super Stardust HD, Ratchet and Clank, Saints Row 2, Shadow of the Colossus.
truly, nearly all games are better while baked...except LA Noire. that game was a total buzz kill.
-Going2GetALoudPackNow...
L.A. Noire tapped me every time also...
HeavyRain is my pic
The active ingredient in marijuana, THC, acts on cannabinoid receptors on nerve cells and influences the activity of those cells. Some brain areas have many cannabinoid receptors, but other areas of the brain have few or none at all. Many cannabinoid receptors are found in the parts of the brain that influence pleasure, memory, thought, concentration, sensory and time perception, and coordinated movement.
Users can experience the following symptoms:
-Hallucinations
-Delusions
-Impaired memory
-Disorientation
Effects on the Heart
Within a few minutes after smoking marijuana, the heart begins beating more rapidly and the blood pressure drops. Marijuana can cause the heart beat to increase by 20 to 50 beats per minute, and can increase even more if other drugs are used at the same time.
Because of the lower blood pressure and higher heart rate, researchers found that users' risk for a heart attack is four times higher within the first hour after smoking marijuana, compared to their general risk of heart attack when not smoking.
Effects on the Lungs
Smoking marijuana, even infrequently, can cause burning and stinging of the mouth and throat, and cause heavy coughing. Scientists have found that regular marijuana smokers can experience the same respiratory problems as tobacco smokers do, including:
-Daily cough and phlegm production
-More frequent acute chest illnesses
-Increased risk of lung infections
-Obstructed airways
Marijuana contains more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than tobacco smoke and because marijuana smokers typically inhale deeper and hold the smoke in their lungs longer than tobacco smokers, their lungs are exposed to those carcinogenic properties longer, when smoking.
What About Cancer?
Because marijuana smoke contains three times the amount of tar found in tobacco smoke and 50 percent more carcinogens, it would seem logical to deduce that there is an increased risk of lung cancer for marijuana smokers. However, researchers have not been able to definitively prove such a link because their studies have not been able to adjust for tobacco smoking and other factors that might also increase the risk.
Other Health Effects
Research indicates that THC impairs the body's immune system from fighting disease, which can cause a wide variety of health problems. One study found that marijuana actually inhibited the disease-preventing actions of key immune cells. Another study found that THC increased the risk of developing bacterial infections and tumors.
Effects of Exposure During Pregnancy
Several studies have found that children born to mothers who used marijuana during pregnancy exhibit some problems with neurological development. According to those studies, prenatal marijuana exposure can cause:
-Altered responses to visual stimuli
-Increased tremulousness
-Problems with sustained attention and memory
-Poor problem-solving skills

There you go. Health effects related to weed. Go on, use YOUR scientific prowess to disprove this. Short-term effects were listed, but there's a character limit.
It's not that I'm typically a close-minded person. I'm just intolerant of stupidity. I could care less if you're gay when I'm straight or whatever, a Republican when I'm Independent, but do something so stupid? Not so much.
You want to feel really good? Set yourself a small goal you want to accomplish (not related to smoking weed), then accomplish it. At least then you've done something productive instead of decrease productivity altogether.
Using SMOKING marijuana as an argument against using marijuana at all makes you look like an uninformed asshole.
Smoking ANYTHING is bad for you, and is not the safe way to get high. You might as well say that video games are bad because you play them by pounding your head into the controller. Non sequitor.
Ingest or vaporize it, and most of your negative effects disappear entirely. As far as immune system goes, marijuana helps people with serious immune-system-based diseases and can help people in the late stages of HIV infection survive longer AND with less pain.
The rest of your "effects" are either unfounded or are well worth it, like any other fun activity in life. You could try having fun for once, you know. It won't kill you (in moderation).
What chad said. Straight up smoke is obviously bad for you, bongs and vaporizers are the safer solution-- as for the rest of your information, the temporary short-term effects are not life threatening, and I dont smoke heavily enough for the long term effects.
And I still stand by what I said: there are many things that can be labeled detrimental, gaming seems pretty pointless to me. Have moderation and be sensible, it's not difficult

People smoke weed for the same reasons that we game or drink. For fun or just to relax.
EDIT: lol, reading though some of the comments here, i doubt most of you actually smoke...or at least don't get a buzz when you do - like you're just acting the way you THINK you should. how does it affect your functionality the way some of you describe? it's not alcohol...not even kinda.
"When you're "high as a kite" you'll be lucky just to find your damn controller.
Not that I would know, or, anything..."
agreed, you evidently don't know at all.
Also, do your research on the adverse health effects of cannabis. I'm pretty sure that smoking or consuming cannabis is much less damaging to your body than consuming alcohol.
Also if you take the effects that you copied and pasted in here completely seriously, then you are even more alien to the use of marijuana than I originally suspected from your first two comments. Aside from the fact that it doesn't read as nearly as frightening as the TV-advertised allergy medication of your choice, there are also some seriously questionable claims in there, as well as instances that appear as a technicality, rather than actual common effects. Hallucinations is the one that stands out loudest.
The heart rate part is great too.. One would already have to be at risk of a heart attack for that exploitation to ever come into play. That person would be at equal risk from climbing too many stairs, as it would increase their heart rate temporarily.
You're just wrong man, all the cutting and pasting in the world won't change that.
Just another false preacher.
I smoke occasionally, about twice a week. I'm working hard at 2 jobs, one full time, one part time, and keeping up A's and B's as a part time student in college. I have high goals for myself that I hope to accomplish. I really don't see the problem with occasional usage.
Made some killer logical arguments, he replies with crap and then blocks me
I guess he is 14 afterall.
That was adorable, scratch 14, make it 13, and a girl.
I think I hurt her feelings, she rushed back to unblock me, send me another message and blocked me again.
I'm astounded I got under her skin enough for her to do that, bless ahahaha
OT:Good list.
of course...
It seems like their on drugs most of the time when they write their articles.
Not that I would know, or, anything...
I don't know about anyone else, but back when I...may or may not have engaged in that sort of activity, fast paced games like shooters or racing games were definitely not conducive to a good "session."
Journey would be awesome. The Path would be even crazier.
Definitely one of the funniest moments we've had.
Besides Beautiful Katamari this list was a fail...
And yes Journey while you're fried is THE BEST.
Majin-Vegeta: Awww, I see
It hard to find the effort to turn on the console while high.
I personally find that being stoned helps me focus when it comes to gaming, as well as certain other things. I even earned my Super Stardust HD high (no pun intended) score while smoking. Pretty darned high one too, put me in the top 50 at the time. If you're not familiar with the game, it's one of the most frantic things I've ever played, and requires a great deal of focus and concentration to excel at.
But yeah, some people can't tie their shoelaces when stoned. All depends on the person.
Oh well, I just hope stuff like this doesn't get too frequent on here.
Lots of people smoke weed, dude. Odds are that several of the people you interact with on a daily basis are users, and you might not even know it. Weed doesn't make you shoot people, it doesn't make you beat your wife, and it doesn't give you green eyes or fangs. It's just another way to chill, relax, and put yourself in a more receptive state of mind.
It has been my personal experience that alcohol (yes alcohol is a DRUG, but we don't call it that) is a far more harmful substance than marijuana. It doesn't make a lot of sense that one is legal and the other is not. As free adults, it is our right to govern what goes in to our bodies, provided we are not doing any harm to our fellow man. Who do you think is more likely to cause harm: someone who just blazed a couple grams of weed, or someone who just downed two shots and four beers because work was shitty today?
It's amazing how powerfully legal notions of morality can pervade the public's point of view on something that can be easily understood and analyzed with one's own eyes and ears, if they ever tried. Alcohol is totally acceptable in the hands of "responsible adults" (who still kill people behind the wheel every day), yet those same responsible adults are dragged through the dirt of they decide to use marijuana.
My dislike of weed is more out of personal experience than just general distaste for it. Iy wasn't me who did it but a close friend of mine once tried it. It triggered a violent seizure, we didn't know he had epilepsy until that point.
It was quite dramatic and a huge game changer for my friend. It's mainly because of that event that I can't stand that thing today.
Doesn't really bother me that people smoke it in peace and quiet.
