Kotaku - Apple CEO Tim Cook and Valve head Gabe Newell did not actually meet last week as rumored, according to a new podcast interview with Newell.
Hope this kills all the silly Valve/Apple console bull crap...Valve is fine with Steam/supporting all major platforms....why would Valve wanna drop all of that profit for some rumored Apple console?
Excuse my language, but thank fucking God. Apple isn't serious enough to be a real contender in the gaming realm.
Do you have any idea what kind of money Apple has?
@Kur0 with the most moronic fanbase ever, is it supposed to be surprising? they could put the Iturd on the market and it would sell, that said, would it be good for gaming? fuck no, Apple and gaming doesnt go together...well, unless you have extremly low standards and would say that litles flash games are enuff for you.
also they are not working on any hardware.
I hope people learned a lesson But I assume they didnt. Because silly gamers dont learn lessons
Next week it'll be Google/Samsung teaming up to enter the console market
taking a look at gabe we can tell he's never even looked at an apple, let alone be in the same room as one. (sorry! was so easy!)
i seriously would like to know how people come up with these ridiculous rumours. is it 4chan?
Anyone remember when the Apple logo showed up on the PS3 website before it launched? That was a nightmare, but this came pretty close!
The general sound is that people think apple wouldn't be suited for gaiming. Well as an employee of apple and a side programmer i have a lil bit diff perspective. Apple focuses it's technology on a more specific demographic than most understand. Kind of like the ps3 is a gaming machine and sony put's that division of their company towards that sole purpose. Apple is extremely awesome at putting together teams and bringing amazing tech for the demographic their gunning for. Apple Has never, never put a team together and said lets build tech for gaming and give it support. The games on apple's tech is made by third parties and they brought themselves onto the technology because of how huge the company has become. Now if you compare apple's products to other products on what they were designed for apple's tech is far greater. So if they actually went into the gaming company and put a team together, their tech would be insane. But unfortunately even though i love and work for apple it would probably be overpriced. And as a side note im actually a huge Sony fan/pc gamer, just giving my perspective on apple.
