Twisted Metal online broken after patch for PAL regions

According many frustrating messages from official site, players from European region cannot log into game's servers and get never-ending connection screen.
Some players have tried to contact with David Jaffe via Twitter, but he is still silent. (PS3, Twisted Metal )

Some People got angry with me when I said this game wasn't worth my personal $60.
I still stand by that.

TWISTED METAL launched with a half made single player mode AND launched with a broken online.

As an old school TWISTED METAL fan from the PS1, I truly wanted this game DAY 1 for my PS3 ( I only own a PS3 this generation btw ), and that I didn't, it looks like I made the precise and right call.

I'll use that $60 for STARHAWK instead.......but I'm very sad that one of my favorite franchises was so mistreated though.

i traded my copy in and got the metal gear hd collection. it really is an awesome game but man did they ever f'up the game not having worked out the online issues before release. :(

That's what happens when you don't do a beta test. Look at all the PS3 games that had extensive beta tests and launched without any problems online, there's loads of them. Then when they decide a game doesn't need a beta test, it's just constant problems.

It's a real shame, but hopefully whoever decided to not ensure the online component for this game works correctly before launch will have learnt a valuable lesson. The multiplayer demo was a foolish idea too. Launch it right before launch and make it only playable for a week, the entire duration of which matchmaking was broken? Absolutely stupid.

Motorstorm Apocalypse and Twisted Metal are both great games that have suffered by the hands of Sony's incompetence for managing online servers. What a shame too, because these are both really good games.

ive not even played my copy in ages as it kept shutting my 60gb model down, what a joke if this was ps2 days with no updates heads would be flying.

This game didn't live up to my expectations. Wasn't a horrible game, just ..... I can't put my finger on it...not as good as it could/should have been.

I found it lived up to expectations (I was a huge TM2 fan back in the day) but also had some foolish decisions made. I think the most glaring problem is the introduction of an airborn character (Talon) which just completely breaks the games balance. If they removed that character from online play (and fixed the connection issues) it would be an absolutely spectacular game. Unfortunately though the release has suffered because of some stupid decisions which would have been fixed had they done a beta test.

I can totally agree with all you said. Maybe the more that I think about it, it was online connection issues and the fact that I REALLY wanted to have a better online experience to go along with it. I did think it would be a system seller though because I was a huge TM2 fan and thought that would help push systems.
