GameTrailers.com, January 8, 2008: "Check out the pushing, the pinata and the power of level creation of LittleBigPlanet."
I LOVE THIS GAME
It redefines gaming actually
The more i watch the videos for this game the more i want to jump in and play. I hope we see some kind of beta in the following months.
i was just zoning out right now.......
Would be nice if you could kick or punch the other players and turn it into a brawl.
Err...you can. :p
Make PS3 own 2008. like.no.other.
It would instantly get the RROD.
.....stop prouting crap you prat. Game looks great, cant wait to get this. People lke you are whats wrong with this site, giving true sony fans a bad name.
I'm sorry but I'm sure their are some people that like this kind of thing but it really does look like a boring kids game. I think Sony is hyping this game way to much.
but i could say the same thing about Halo 3. whenever i'm on Xbox Live, i only hear 12 year olds calling me "nigger" when i'm not even black, i'm white. then again most of the 360 fan base is made up of ignorant people that listen to rap so i could understand the hostility. now that i think about it, it does look like Power Rangers. purple guns, rainbows, green outfits... whenever you 360 fanboys have nothing smart to say, you call the game kiddy. LBP is for all ages, and "kids" won't be smart enough to create an entire DECENT looking level that actually plays well. wait is that you in the picture below? HAHA i knew you looked familiar. you're part of the retarded 360 fanboy club.
You do understand that Sony can not hype a game. Game hype comes from players.
There are no guns in LBP, how can it be for kids?
is over hyped, this game is just a pretty kiddy game. Why is Sony coming to war against MS with this kiddy sh*t? These kind of games are neat and cute, but they dont sell the way Sony needs them to in order to attract developer attention. 360 is selling games like mad, this crap game will do nothing to combat that. You suckers will carry Sonys nuts through any bone headed move they make, but if you really want to see Sony do well you will start demanding more, and stop supporting them in all these moronic moves. The casual market will not give a rip about a weird game like this, sorry but its the truth.
are just pissed about not having an innovative game on your piece of crap console. i could understand why you 360 owners are so angry lately, it's like people stopped caring about the 360 after everything that's been happening. a horrible lineup for this year, Warner/New Line going blu-ray exclusive, Xbox Live becoming a lot worse than PSN, etc. out of insecurity, you troll to help yourself sleep better at night. why post if everyone is going to disagree with you? do you enjoy wasting your time? get a job. find something better to do. there's gotta be a point in your life when you move past that 4th minimum wage job of yours. come on man.
You'd rather be playing Gaylo, a game that's even kiddier than Little Big Planet? Lol. So many worried 360 owners lately.
The game is about having an imagination. Not everyone does evidently.
coming to war? last i checked, the ps3 is doing mighty fine against a console with a 1 year head start. last time i checked, bluray is also doing fine. if people want a system that only has good shooters theres a choice for them. if others want a console with blockbuster titles in practically all genres, excellent hardware reliability and the DOMINANT bluray capability right out of the box....there is a choice for that as well. dont be so worried about sony and microsoft "going to war", you have no power in the outcome. just buy your games on your preferred system.
Those calling this game Kiddie just don't get it. This game is whatever YOU make it. This is what makes it fun. It challenges you to think and be creative in building your own levels and creating obstacles for OTHERS to try out and rate. This will be a gigantic hit if executed correctly. Tie this in with Home and you can see what Sony is trying to accomplish. A community that not only PLAYS games together but MAKES games together and SHARES games together. Also keep in mind, if you want to make an "adult" level you can. The developers already stated that they are trying to implement a ratings system so that the more mature levels can't be played by those not old enough. Again, wherever your mind takes you with LBP. The options are limitless. This game will be great for the gaming community as a whole... if executed properly (which is questionable since it's under Sony's control, although bringing in developers from Insomniac can only make it better)
I hope you enjoy the game, but all that is way more than the casual market is asking for, and the casual market is what matters to sales. Im not saying Sony should go all Wii and go after soccer moms, they are not gamers. Im talking about real gamers that are casual, the ones who dont post in online discussions, but still buy all the really big titles that release on a given console. They do not research, to them LBP will just look like another Ratchet and Clank type kiddy Japanese centric game. Sony trys to show of what the PS3 is capable of too much, and what they need to be doing is just pumping out games that people want, not just games that look pretty, or have neat functionality that no one asked for. Uncharted was a graphics showcase, nothing more, should have got a 7.5 tops across the board, same for Heavenly Sword, Sony is just trying to make games that look good to make the PS3 seem like its worth the cash. This strategy will lose in the end.
By Halo 3. Didn't you notice they couldn't even make the game HD? When they added 4 player co-op they had to downgrade the game's graphics into looking like a last gen game with terrible, laughable textures and plastic character models. Not only did Uncharted manage to be the best looking console game on the market, but it has a 90% overall average on gamerankings.com. That doesn't just happen for graphics alone. Microshit had to bribe reviewers for good Halo 3 reviews.
Mr Marbles, people like you are what hold back innovation and creativity when it comes to game development. You probably think the Halo Forge editor is the best thing since sliced bread, but an entire game built on building and sharing levels, rating and playing those levels cooperatively... that's a no no. If Sackboy were Master Chief you'd probably love the concept. From your comments, I can pretty much tell that you never played Uncharted. I actually agree with you on Heavenly Sword (I found the fighting boring and the emphasis on the cut scenes took away from the game). But Uncharted is an amazing platformer, graphically and tempo-wise. You should rent it and see for yourself (although I also suspect that you don't own a PS3). Also, I'm no fanboy, but the PS3 has been consistently beating the 360 in worldwide sales for a minute now. Without North America (specifically the U.S.) and a 1-year headstart, the 360 would be toast. So to say that Sony's strategies aren't working or will not work is not based on any facts, just your own wishful thinking.
back on topic: this is just one of the titles on the long list of exclusives, sony expects to deliver this year. Along with home/ remote play and xmb firmware/ abilities updates for both psp/ps3. sony seems to be attempting to place massive pressure on its opponents. if they can do more marketing regarding features and exclusives, they have 08 in the bag. since bluray won, many hw manufacturers are now using bd drives(Forcing component prices down)in their own products= more bluray content will be sold. If they can shave 100 dollars off every ps3 unit.. it would be overkill in 08.
