G4TV - Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Hands-on Preview

Kevin Kelly writes: Interestingly, this whimsical and adorable project, aka Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, started as a 10th anniversary project for developer Level-5, and Studio Ghibli only became involved after they happened to run into someone who worked there and told them about the project. Later the two companies met, and Ghibli was brought onboard to provide the animation for the game. At this point, it is impossible to imagine the game without the gorgeous artwork and characters that Ghibli has truly brought to life.

The story is too old to be commented.

"but Level-5 said that they tried to develop controls that would make the game more appealing to North American and European audiences. So instead of characters squaring off in a line against their opponents in a text-based attack, they will now move completely around the target, and you can issue commands to the characters."

They didnt say this............its tales like..........its still turn based......... its japan they care about which likes all kinds of rpg systems

You can't say it's like Tales then go on about how it's turn based. From what you quoted it seems to be closer to Grandia.

Game looks really fun. Not a fan of the art direction. It's executed really well. Looks like I'm watching a Miyazaki film. But I never was a fan of his art :/

Still though I wanna give the game a try.

I've always been a fan of Studio Ghibli and Level 5. So I'm definitely looking forward to his game.

Must wait till 2013... >_<
