And there are still people that say that Nintendo should stop making Mario games, that Mario is old news, and nobody cares about Mario. Haters gonna hate I guess.

xXBlondieVanHarlowXx2427d ago

So what you're saying is that people buy it off the "Mario" brand name & not because it's a good game? o_-

Fel082427d ago

Hmmmmm no, seriously don't know how you got that from what I said.

What I'm saying is that anyone who thinks Nintendo should stop making Mario games because they think it's old, or irrelevant is out of their mind. As a Mario fan, I really can't see future Nintendo consoles without a Mario game.

Well said..and a world without Mario is not a world worth living in! You are right though Haters gonna hate-especially around here.

The Mario Kart franchise is arguably the most consistent, greatest racing franchise in history. The critical acclaim, and sales prove it. When sales are brought up, rarely do you see the Mario Kart franchise mentioned as it is usually left out of the conversation. Even in this article, proof of its greatness was provided and the comment section is as empty as a crushed soda can.

Mario Kart 7 has not been available very long, and is already on track to out sale racing games on competing platforms.

If anyone had any questions of why Nintendo keeps the Mario Kart franchise, or any other Mario spinoff around. The reason is that these games move units, and Nintendo consoles at a rapid rate. Yes people enjoy Mario. Its feels good to finally see someone shed even a dim light on the success of the most under rated racing franchise in regard to sales. Nintendo has done a fine job keeping Mario Kart fresh, and fun spanning multiple platforms.
