A Canadian gamer has partnered with his mom, a psychology professor at Grant MacEwan University, to self-publish a book in defense of gaming.
Sounds like the coolest mom ever! (Aside from my mom of course.)
my mom loves to play on the wii. She's still the coolest mom ever, and my dad can beat up your dad.
And I'm a orphan, yep.
" (Aside from my mom of course.) " That's...sweet. *grumbles back masculinity* :P
Where would my life be right now, had I never experienced walking around as a fat Italian plumber, eating shrooms. I'd never know the joys of squashing innocent goombas into the ground, I'd never realize eating flowers outside can make me shoot fireballs. I mean for the love of God, where would I be if I had no idea putting on a raccoon costume makes you fly!?
I broke my leg trying that damn raccoon stunt... EDIT: forgot the /s
To be fair... It only works if you're Italian...
An edgy format? Sounds like a sexy read.
I would be honored and humbled if this could make it into the book http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Not even going to read it. This is the best article ever.
You should read it. This is the type of article that should get hits, not the stupid troll articles that we get on a daily basis here.
I did read it. Great article. :)
"not the stupid troll articles that we get on a daily basis here" it wont have much hits here. not enough cleavage.
@dark-hollow Lol I agree, wack a pair of tits as the display picture on anything on N4G and you just know its heading straight to top articles. Remember those Soul Calibur V articles? They sure as hell were not so popular because they were an "interesting read"...
@dark hollow yeah but the woman in the picture is still a milf! :)
double post soz!
Canadian gamers :)
I agreed because we rock.
Worry more of thy obsessive texting, pauly d watching, cell phone obsessing, tv zoning, rap listening goon, than a gamer. Oh wait thats 90% of the USA.........
jersey shore is a cancer of it own.
I don't think anybody does all of that...
Now THIS is an article I like to see on N4G! Good shit mom!
Best Mom ever!!!
It's always good to hear positive gaming effects but isn't there a rule against investigator bias in pyschology. Wouldn't she just have to hypothesize something then see if the result are in fact positive.
Good for them! People love to fall back on games when it comes to bad press, when they cant admit it to themselves that its bad parenting that causes issues with a child not video games, it always comes down to "but he played grand theft auto!". Slightly off topic I know, it just seems the gaming industry gets a lot of bad-mouthing and blame because the general public really dont seem to understand it.
