"Catherine has intrigued those following it from the start: a game exploring feelings about relationship fidelity, where your choices have an effect on the outcome – what possibility! Then the main game mechanic of climbing a tower made of boxes to escape your nightmares was shown and was intriguing enough on its own for me to want to try play it (weird story or not). Atlus deserve a lot of credit for creating a game that is original and conceptually interesting in so many ways that it’s hard to fault it, but it has flaws which detract from the experience it could be, while offering hope for a deeper future in games."
