The Biggest Sequels of 2012 | 2012 looks to be another huge year for sequels as we see the return of Master Chief, Max Payne, and Leon S. Kennedy. Some of the amazing teasers we saw at E3 will have their full products release this year. Leaving one question to be asked, do you know the definition of insanity?

Typical, all the generic games listed..............the ones that are killing this industry, 2011 was bad enough but 2012, sales are just plummeting across the board

If I had to pick game sequels I am the most excited for

Dragon quest X
pokemon black white 2
super robot wars OG 3

Mass effect was the biggest game release so far? Is that a joke?

Maybe the one thats gotten the most fan rage going............but for real gamers RE revelations, 13-2, graces F, devil survivor, kid icarus were just as big

U sound really but hurt. How is halo harming the industry? Atleast each game isn't a carbon copy o the last and actually evolves with each new release

Darkieinthemist2433d ago

correction, I had an opinion on the article

you are butt hurt by responding to me without an opinion on the article

And yes ME3 is the biggest game release do far this year. Name something that was hyped more and sold more...

lelo2play2433d ago

I'd love to know what or who a real gamer is, please enlighten us. I will take a stab in the dark but a gamer is one who plays games, not some clown who's created his/her own definition of it based purely on what they like.

Consumers will continue to buy what THEY want and there is enough diversity out there for everyone without having to resort to dictating which direction we should go. Half of the games listed in the article interest me, the other half doesn't. Now what? Sequels are largely based upon demand and if you don't like them there are plenty of other games to choose from.

The guy just loves Japanese games and thinks hes too cool for Western ones. To him Real gamers are the ones that love JRPGS and the likes.

givemeshelter2433d ago

You like Japanese games and that's fine, however there are quite a lot of games released that are excellent that are not Japanese games.
Moreover most Japanese games released this generation have been lackluster and just plain crap to be honest

I beat Halo Reach lastnight, and as someone who just bought an Xbox 360 after owning a PS3 since launch, I'm even more puzzled than ever as to how the HALO series has gotten the high scors that critics have given the series over the years. Reach isn't a terrible game, but it was very generic. The first 3 hours of the game were some of the most boring gameplay I've ever experienced. The graphics looked like the game should have been released in 2006, the voice acting was very poor and the music was not very good. The multiplayer is kind of fun, but it gets repetitive and tiring really fast.

When I bought my 360 last month it came with Forza3 and Alan Wake for free, and I also downloaded Gears 1, Gears 2 and Halo Reach. I beat Alan Wake which was an interesting yet repetitive game and you know what I think about Reach, so I'm really hoping that I will enjoy the Gears of War series. Now that I own both consoles, I can say that 360 owners who never got on board with the PS3 have missed out on alot more than PS3 only owners have.

I was trying to think of what other 360 games I want to get that were exclusives, but the only other game I can think of GRAW1 since the PS2 version and PC version both sucked, but I've always wanted to play this version. I like how the Live Marketplace has BLACK on there also. I loved that game on the PS2, and since Sony hasen't brought it onto the PSN as a download, I might just pick up that game too.

That is all for now :D

KIllzone still just isn't very popular. Sorry. It peaked at around 5 million.

Halo: Reach in my opinion is the worst Halo that was released, don't judge Halo on that game. It was my least favourite campaign, and multiplayer just wasn't that great either because of those armor abilities. I recommend you play Halo 1-3 for the campaigns, it may be too late to play Halo 3 multiplayer.
Master Chief for me is just a large reason why I love Halo as well, and he isn't even in Reach. Halo 3:ODST is also a great campaign.

But overall, you picked the worst Halo game to play, try playing through the original trilogy if you have the time.

Welcome to Xbox by the way, and if you want to play some time add me up, my GT is : Munish Thiara

Drake1172433d ago

@munish I don't think u will get this guys xbl gamer tag because i honestly don't think he has one. Hes a proven one bubble ps3 troll.

BitbyDeath2433d ago (Edited 2433d ago )
