"Another problem is that you can't play if you lose your connection. This issue, personally, gets on my nerves. We all know that our computers are pretty useless and boring once the internet pops off, and this applies to Steam, too. You are allowed to go into offline mode, but most of the characteristics of games won't be available, and all in all, it's just buggy."

...this hasn't been true for me so far. If you lose you online, sure it is annoying, you can't play online. This applies to every online service though(any multiplayer etc). Never had any probs with Single player games in Offline mode.

Steam sales and Steam CD keys are awesome anyhow> I bought Witcher 2 for 15€ today.

You can play ALL of your games offline through Steam, unless they are online only AND ONLY use Steam servers.

^ What Keiser said...

Any problem with online connectivity is unique to that specific game. Steam has no online requirements, aside from product activation. Although it may be a drawback if you rely on your cloud saves.

way more pros than cons is enough for me!

Biggest con is download speeds.

always hit and miss and never downloads at my max dl speed, where as Origin seems to always have fast and constant dl speeds...

Probably due to the lack of people downloading though i suppose on Origin.

I have yet to have a problem with Steam. But I had great success with Direct 2 Drive (not happy with Gamefly), Gamer's Gate, Impulse Driven and Greenman Gaming.........

I ran into a problem with steamguard once, you know, have to verify your account in your email from 7 years ago.
But other than that, I havent come across any issues.
