Skullgirls review: Close, but no cigar - Joystiq

Joystiq:

Despite the fresh renaissance the fighting game genre has grown into over the last couple of years, the medium is still dominated by the superpowers that brought it to its knees during the late twentieth century: Capcom, Namco Bandai, SNK Playmore, etc. Now, however, a new challenger comes.

The story is too old to be commented.

With a few more characters, bot training, and more game modes this game will rival cap com and narco in the fighting genre.

they have multiple characters already designed and planned, including male characters, but it's really dependent on whether they have the sales and thus the funding to add them as DLC.

that comes from Mike Z, one of the lead designers of the game.

Hopefully it does succeed financially, i played the demo and loved it. I hope it gets the recognition it deserves.

The online implementation is perfect! The only flaw is the lack of lobby support.

I like it a lot but sometime fighting the A.I. is hard as hell. I once faced off again Peacock and she just keep on sending a continuous stream of explosives my way. It took me forever to beat her and the last boss is even worse. Also does anyone know how to do the super moves for Peacock . Do you do a quarter circle forward twice and then press all three punch or kick buttons or do you do a quarter circle forward once and press all three punch or kick buttons twice?

"I once faced off again Peacock and she just keep on sending a continuous stream of explosives my way. "
thats how peacock is supposed to be played.

there are no double qc rolls of any kind, nor is there any three button moves.

one of peacocks hypers is qcf double punch
