"PC Gamers haven’t even been able to bask long in the victory of getting Dark Souls over to their platform yet, and already news that could ruin it all for them has just surfaced."
For everyone who wants this to be a good port, please sign the petition for the removal of "games for windows" DRM! https://www.change.org/peti...
If the game is to hard, are they going to make a petition to make it easier ? For fu*k sake... there are people that complaint about everything.
Since when was it a bad thing to try and make things better?
gfwl corrupts game saves and causes all sorts of other issues.
Even Origin isn't as big a turd as GfWL is.
Don't care. Still buying it.
Will double dip regardless :)
What bothers me most is that companies still seem to think DRM stops piracy.
I know. Drm causes piracy. A lot of pirates say what? DRM? I can get around that! And poof. I know many pirates. They always say they pirate due to bad ports, excluded pc gamers and drm. They never pirate games that treat em right.
I've got about 6 games on Steam which use GFWL and I've never had any activation problems, crashing or anything... "Basically it’s a giant mess. If they want to incorporate a third party DRM, don’t use Games for Windows LIVE, they should use Steamworks, cause as its name says, STEAM WORKS." Also, what a retard, Steamworks is an SDK for integration using their API, not DRM like the article makes it out to be.
i lost an arkham city save because of it, had problems updating dirt 2, and playing online is much worse than most other pc games that use something better.
I really hope this is the last time a developer/ publisher listens to a petition. You PC fanboys are ungrateful spoiled brats!!
Yes....because only PC gamers complain about things right?seems like you got some fanboy glasses on your self... [email protected] Wouldn't that be a Steam fanboy?
PC fanboys: waaaahhhh we want dark souls. Namco Bandai: Wish Granted. It will release in August on GFWL. PC fanboys: GFWL? WTF? no steam= no buy, we will pirate the shit out of this game. This is EXACTLY whats going on.
You should have an unlimited amount of cookies and cakes for your Username and Avatar. XD
Because a consumer voicing their opinion about an unwanted aspect of a future product they are CONSIDERING purchasing is "ungrateful, entitled, spoiled, cry baby, whiner" ??? You seem to have missed the finer points of capitalism. Observation: What is truly strange are the people who come to bitch about the people who are complaining. What exactly is to gain or lose from complaining about other people's........complainin g
Have u ever played a game on GFWL and had all of your data lost/had to deal with late patches?if not then you have no right to ask people to stop complaining....because you wouldn't know shit about the issues that gamers are dealing with on that service...
bit of an odd choice of service... but maybe...maybe this just extra dificulty?! Like super hard mode. Having to play it on GFWL!
YOU guys are foolish!! GFWL IS THE BEST THING SINCE BREAD YARRRRRRR!!! #Jokingbtw
mm...drm or cracked pirated version with no online bullshit? i wonder who the developers think they are hurting...
PC gamers are the most entitled fanboys of all. "IT'S NOT ON STEAM? NO BUY, I'M PIRATING! SCREW DRM!" Which not only implies Steam isn't DRM, it also implies that Steam can have no competition.
No one cares if the game is on steam or not. The problem is that the game will use GFWL. I would be ok with even Origin, or anything, but GFWL. The article just uses steam as an example.
I don't have that much problem with GFWL. I don't love it but I don't hate it either. I don't like in some GFWL games that you still have to insert the freaking disc to play, e.g. both Batman Arkham games. Other than that, it's pretty decent. I have Red Faction Guerilla folder moved about between drives and PCs. GFWL detected it and activated it for that new PC/drive. No questions asked. Quite convenient.
