However, will the Fable universe work when viewed as one continuous line?
Kinect's reason to exist is to make me walk into walls. Fact.
Wasn't that supposed to be Rise of Nightmare(250k sold), then Child of Eden(200k sold), then Gunstringer(260k sold), then Kinect Star Wars(55 meta)? So now Kinect's fate rest on the shoulders of Fable: The Journey? Give it six months after release and Peter M. himself will admit that this game is crap like he always does with Fable games.
All of the games you mention rock, so this is a case of sales being all-important whenever it suits. If anything its fate rests on Jutekki, which anyone who actually cares about playing cool videogames should be looking forward to with glee.
I know. I've been waiting for these reasons to be good, but release after release Kinect is still struggling to even have a single game worthy of justifying it's existance. The last two hopes are Fable:The Journey, and Steel Batallion. To date, my only use for Kinect is Mass Effect voice-controls, and Fruit Ninja. Fruit Ninja is a huge hit when I'm having parties.
You should try. Kinect Sports 1 Kinect Sports 2 Child of Eden Forza 4 Gunstinger Not sure about RON. Its been flogged on N4G but I loved the game.

LMAO @ Strongman's ONLY reason to 'exist' on N4G.com is to troll every single Kinect article..and that is a fact. It's laughable to pretend that games like 'Rise of the Nightmares' or even Gunstringer were EVER these huge make or break games for Kinect. Look forward to Fable: Journey to see what Lionhead pulls off. Evil
That's kinda like how YOU only seem to be here to troll... yet, somehow, you keep getting more and more bubbles. RoN and Gunstringer were supposed to be the sorts of games that brought core gamers to the Kinect, not "make or break." They failed to do so. Child of Eden is admittedly cool, but it also fell short of expectations(or hype, anyway). Convenient that now that they've not performed as expected, they "never were" supposed to do that well in the first place. Is that like how the Kinect was supposed to have all these core experiences, and then after failing to gain that audience, last month Microsoft comes out and says Kinect was never for the core? I think it's amazing that 360 fanboys can't seem to stick to one definition or another on things. If Fable: The Journey does poorly, will the mentality change from "necessity" to "didn't really matter" again?
@ Hicken See that where you fan kiddies on N4G fail. You pretend that by not spending my entire existence bashing a system I don't own then THAT is trolling. But yet you clearly have someone who trolls 360 articles in Strongmans case it's a no-brainer that this is this particuliar account is for. I laugh at you trolls trying to act like I'm anything like you. I don't have to run info every article of other consoles doing what you and Strongman do daily. Lol @ your fake statement from Microsoft 'last month'..but thats what the make believe world of trolling is about..Internet ducktales.. Evil
