Bringing back Demolition Derby with damage modelling worse than Destruction Derby on the PS1 and Burnout Paradise?

Yeah I don't think so.

How would the damage modeling be worse? I wouldn't consider Burnout Paradise a destruction derby game. It's an arcade racer.

Have you seen the gameplay vids of this game? The damage modelling isn't what you'd expect in a Demolition Derby game. Yes BP is an arcade racer but you can literally crush your entire car in that game, something you'd expect from a Destruction Derby type game.

From what I saw of Showdown bumpers fall off and you get a bit of deformation here and there but the car still looks intact.

That's not what I call demolition derby.

Its a Demolition Racer where you get points by damaging other cars and those points get multiplied by what position you end up on the finish line.
