Japanese Voice Actor for Colonel Campbell Passes Away

Yesterday, on April 9 2012, Takeshi Aono, the voice actor who did the Japanese voice for Colonel Roy Campbell in the Metal Gear series (among many other roles in television and video game series), passed away.

Umm wait a second. Wasn't the VA of Mihawk replaced years go? I thought he had died then.

Hmm, he probably retired or something then.

Yeah as Nyxus says he retired then. I'm not sure if he was Mihawk during the war but he was the Mihawk that cut down zorro when they first encountered each other.

RIP old friend

We may not know him personally but I am sure he was a great man.

I will play through Metal Gear Solid 2 once more as a tribute to his life and hard work he put in for the fans.
