I just received my copy of RRU from Gamefly. It's actually a lot of fun on my wheel. Better than I thought it would be. Personally I think it's a solid 8. I like it a lot more than Blur or Split Second but not as much as Burnout Paradise.

Definitely worth the rental but I don't think I would purchase it since arcade racers are usually short lived.

All those games you mentioned have nothing to do with the RR series. Still baffles me how old established game franchises are being tossed in a hat and flipped upside down with the hopes a rabbit will come out.

I think this game would have had a better chance just being named something completely different. Slapping on the RR badge wasn't going to help.

I agree. I told a friend tonight the only thing this game has in common with RR is the rubber band AI. Other than that is doesn't feel a thing like Ridge Racer in any way shape or form.

It cant be the same team responsible for RR iterations of the past. But at least this game works with my wheel. Blur and Split Second didn't.
