Speaking of which, Contra fans will instantly feel at home with this game’s pixilated, nostalgic appearance, punishing one-hit deaths, and chaotic on-screen action."
OXM: "Capybara bills Super Time Force as a 'Contra-like,' but that label doesn’t really do it justice. True, it’s a resolutely old-school shooter in which the object is to run forward, shoot in multiple directions, fill the screen with as many bullets as possible, and kill everything that moves. But Contra never had this many playable characters, nor was it ever this over-the-top insane."
CheatCC says: "The simple plot of Super Time Force amuses. Your fearless commander wants to watch some funny cat videos, but his internets are too slow. So to save the world from video buffering, he sends you into the future to get all of the good internets and bring peace to the world. A great plan – except for the small fact everyone wants to kill you."
