First detail revealed for Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition

German gaming magazine, PC Action, has revealed the first details for the upcoming PC action role-playing game, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition.

Funny thing is half the info you'd get on the big popular sites are from random neogaf dudes . And a quarter of the rest comes from Random neogaf dudes' japanese translations

NeoGAF isn't really your typical forum. 99% of the news that comes from there is reliable. The way their sign-up system works pretty much prevents someone from immediately making a troll account and making a fake news topic. Tons of major websites base news stories off something first posted on NeoGAF.

Don`t think the PC community would be too happy
if the graphics are the same as the console versions.
Even though the graphics were great anyway.
I hope the framerate issues in some areas gets fixed
because that was my only complaint about dark souls.
In my opinion demons souls was a much better game though
and it never seems to get as much attention as dark souls.

Its not really a game that should be messed with,
it has a set tone and everythings finely balanced.

yeah there are a few of us that preferred demons
souls but i think it gets forgotten by the press
because it was a PS3 exclusive.
I thought the online worked alot better,also the
pacing and difficulty was spot on.
Not as cheap as dark souls.

i dont think dark souls difficulty was cheap, i think it was easier than demons souls because I was already experienced in Demons souls

and im not sure if its possible to not allow mods lol. Hackers hack and mod Mmo's all the time.

but anyway. I mostly want the sequel of either or. such good games :)

And that is the reason why I dont want a PC version.

PC users will be able to cheat their way in Dark Souls, create uber weapons and armor in 2 seconds. Thats not how Dark Souls is meant to be played, its supposed to be challenging.

Then you're not forced to buy the PC version are you?Mods do a lot more then create armor and weapons...many of the community based mods expand the world by creating new maps/fixing technical issues and etc....PC gamers are used to challenge maybe you should check out the older rpgs on the platform....way before all the dumb down hand holding era started...

I loved Demons Souls, but I loved Dark Souls even more. Things are just much more fleshed out, and improved upon the previous version. Demons Souls was a good start for the souls games, but it had more flaws than Dark Souls. Anywhoo... I foam at the mouth, just thinking about Dark Souls running a constant 60fps, 1080p, and possibly mods.

Great game but having played the PS3 version to death (mostly my death) I probably won't bother with the PC version.
Also, dark souls is sooo good, graphical improvements won't make a big difference (at times Lordran is stunning anyway).

Another hopeful side effect for a PC version... could someone release a full 3d continuous map of the entire world!??!?! Please?!?!! I've explored it all, I just want to see how it all melds together!
