Desmond, more ass-kicking, less lying-on-back-in-Animus

The entire Assassin's Creed mystery should have been set in reverse. You start in historical times as historic characters and slowly discover that it's all tied to the present day. The current meta-plot is convoluted and plain annoying.

Present day is boring, and would ruin the game. AC has always been about playing epic historical settings. Without a epic historical setting AC is totally worthless. That is the main selling point of the games.

Yeah but they've always built up the idea that Desmond would become the Ultimite Assassin in the present day.

I mean climbing skyscrapers and using modern gadgets to kill your enemies would of been a nice touch to the end of the 2012 story arc

:( But thats the least fun/interesting part of the game....

Ugh. Desmond has to be one of the worst video game characters ever. He's just a boringly dull, generic looking character. Awful.

Desmond is always the worst part of Assassin's Creed. Always.

Still, I'm very much looking forward to Assassin's Creed 3.

IKR, Desmond is a decedent of assassins and has a mixed heritage, but is just a boring bartender.
