The grand adventure: Making a comeback | Destructoid

The last few years have been an interesting time for the adventure game genre. After a decade of disappointment, fans finally started to see more and more titles appear and most importantly, become successes. Big changes in the industry, such as the rise of digital distribution and the popularity of episodic content created a more favorable environment to craft these games in. More opportunities for indie developers started to appear as well. (Gemini Rue, Industry, PC, Sam & Max Season 2: Moai Better Blues, Sam & Max Season 3, Tales of Monkey Island, Wii)
