Kid Icarus Uprising: The ZI Review

Zelda Informer writes: "Kid Icarus Uprising...stands as one of the greatest Nintendo experiences ever crafted. That it's part of a genre that's so underrepresented on Nintendo consoles only makes it stand out even more."

10/10 really?
Oh well, it is zeldainformer.com afterall...

No seriously. That game deserves at least 9/10 every time. So much content, hilarious, compelling story, pretty graphics, actually good use of 3D and FUN online MP.
Truth is, the world needs more games like Uprising.

Well there is that little nagging point about them actually shipping the game with a stand, because the game can only be played a very specific way. That should warrant at least -2 points for any review score.

Wow all the people who disagreed must not like the game. I don't see what the point of the stand is. It not that difficult to hold it with you hands, unless your left handhanded. If your left handhanded you change the control scheme or get the CPP. Shipping an optional stand that doesn't need to be used if you'e ever played a DS shooter before does not warrant taking 2 point off. Other than the controls which you have to get used to but are otherwise fine this game is flawless.

Agree with yabhero this game is near perfect in every way. I tried the stand once and it worked well but you dont need it at all the controls are perfectly fine and far more accurate than dual analogs. It took me a few chapters to get used to using the stylus and then it became second nature i can even kick ass in mp no problem.

KIU has excellent graphics, great 3d, a long single player, awesome mp, addictive loot sytem, betting system, idols to collect, ar cards to collect, powers to collect, a fusion system and even more crammed in it. Theres a boatload of levels each with a flying section and ground section, vehicles, and a boss fight for each level. Right when you think it couldnt get any more epic it blows your ming again. You can also map the movement to the buttons and aiming to the circle pad or vice versa for those that dont know but the stylus is hands down the best way to play it. I havent loved a game this much in years.

BTW the stand is an awesome 3ds accessory for more than just this game. I use it for videos and touchscreen games.

Nintendo 3DS Games We Still Love Playing Even Today

BLG writes: "While it didn’t sell as well as the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo 3DS was nonetheless a wonderful system. And, while this may be a hot take, it’s easily my favorite handheld. Even more than a decade removed from launch, the system’s library has so many titles that feel as fresh today as they did back at release. While it was hard to narrow down, these 30 Nintendo 3DS games are emblematic of the system’s success."

'Kid Icarus: Uprising’s' Story Soars High Above Nintendo’s Other Narratives

Nintendo has always been known for flaunting fine-tuned gameplay over full-blown narratives, however, Kid Icarus: Uprising literally flipped the script as it shined with its writing, story, and characters above all else.

I have to agree.
This game blowed my mind away at its time,
It was so epic in that little screen was pure magic. A real portable AAA game!
