3DS: One Year On

One year ago this week, Nintendo released the successor to the hugely popular DS line of systems. While the 3DS enjoyed a strong opening weekend, a poor software line-up cost Nintendo dearly, as the following months saw a sharp drop in sales. However, a quick price cut and the arrival of some stellar titles turned the fortunes of the system around, and one year on the 3DS continues to go from strength to strength. In this article I look back at the 3DS's first year and look forward to the year ahead. (3DS, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Mario Kart 7, Nintendo, Pilotwings Resort, Super Mario 3D Land)
