Silent Hill: Revisiting The Classic Original

NowGamer: Let’s return to that town, a nightmarish place of burned children, satanic cults, and a malevolence which lurks behind the shadows. The first Silent Hill is the best and the scariest in the entire series. Some controversial statements are opinion, others, such as the one which started this article, are fact. (PS2, PS3, Silent Hill, Wii, Xbox 360)

The Silent Hill demo that came with Metal Gear Solid scared the living crap out of me as a kid!

Yeah the first Silent Hill was amazing! Sure it does not hold up well graphically but the game still freaks you out psychologically. Harry is a great character cause you feel his desperation to find his daughter & you are caught up in everything he does to do so.

2 & 3 are both very well made games in the Silent Hill series but personally the first one is forever immortalized in the horror genre of games.

love Silent hill 2&3 but the first game was by far
the scariest game on the playstation!
Never forgot the first time walking down that alley
at the start of the game and wondering WTF was going on
with hospital beds appearing, barbed wire everywhere, corpses! and little freaky children things with knives! all in the space of the first 10 minutes
lol

Same for me. I remember revisiting like a month ago when I downloaded it on PSN so I can hear them through my Triton headphones. If you haven't done it already I urgently recommend this because it really made me feel like I was playing a new game. When you are able to hear every nook and cranny on top having better clarity of the game's haunting soundtrack, my God it was exhilarating.
