From WorthPlaying:
"Devil May Cry is a fairly unique series in that, despite only being a few years old, it has a history as long and confusing as some of the longest-running video game franchises. Originally, Devil May Cry was going to be Resident Evil 4, back in the long-ago time before the eventual revisions gave us the current Resident Evil 4. However, as development went on, the character designs and the overall direction of the game diverged so greatly from the Resident Evil formula that it ended up becoming its own game, and Devil May Cry was born."
Rating and reviews aside, i think im gonna need either a good demo or rent this one before i deside to buy or not. im just not sure its gonna have anough "depth" to justify £50.
Im always nervious over hack and slash games, the only replay value they have is harder settings, which 99% of the time do nothing but make the enermies constantly block (same pre-set attacks, same level of AI etc).
i might be wrong, but havent they confirmed a demo for PS3/360?
...
right up my ally. I'll be getting this just as NG2 and still haven not tried heavenly Sword. I liked the music.
